Have you ever wondered why a great idea never makes it into law? Are you frustrated with the time and money spent on policy research reports that collect dust on a proverbial shelf?
So are we - and that is precisely why we founded 1837 Partners.
We know that the policymaking process starts long before Lansing gets involved - it begins with recruiting, cultivating and electing (and reelecting) amazing people to serve in public offices. We know that a multitude of creative ideas and great research has and is continuing to be conducted by community advocates, foundations, and research firms everyday. We also know that it is meaningless if it doesn't become public policy.
Our not-so-novel approach is that in order to advance lasting change - these two areas must converge. What is novel is that we are the only ones doing it.
